Yes. New patients must register before their first appointment. Registration is straightforward and can be completed online through our booking system or by calling reception. Please have your PPS number and any relevant medical history to hand. Medical Card holders will also need to provide their card details so we can confirm GMS eligibility before your visit. ### What are your opening hours? Our practice is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 and Saturday, 08:00 to 15:00. We are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. For medical emergencies outside of these hours, please contact D-DOC on 1850 224 477 or attend your nearest emergency department. You can book appointments online at any time through our website. ### How quickly can I be seen for an urgent concern? We do our best to accommodate urgent medical concerns as promptly as possible. Call us on (083) 066 8358 or book online and let us know if your concern is urgent. Appointment availability varies, so we recommend calling early in the morning. ### Do you offer telemedicine appointments? Yes. We offer secure video consultations for patients who are unable to attend in person or who prefer to consult from home. Telemedicine appointments are suitable for follow-up reviews, prescription queries, and many non-emergency concerns. You can book a video appointment through our online booking system, and a secure video link is sent to you by email ahead of the appointment. ### Do you accept Medical Cards? Yes. MedicalCore is a GMS panel practice. We accept Medical Card holders and provide a full range of GP services free of charge to eligible patients. We are currently accepting new Medical Card patients. ### How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment? You can cancel or reschedule online using the link in your confirmation email, or by calling reception during opening hours. Please give at least 24 hours' notice where possible so the slot can be offered to another patient. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may affect your priority when requesting an urgent appointment in the future. ### How much does a GP visit cost? A standard private GP consultation at MedicalCore is charged at our private rate, and Medical Card holders are seen free of charge under the GMS scheme. Additional services such as blood tests, vaccinations, and medical certificates may incur additional charges. Current fees are listed on our Consultation Fees page. ### Do you accept health insurance? Yes. We accept VHI, Laya Healthcare, and Irish Life Health. Please bring your insurance details to your appointment. Some insurers offer GP visit cover as part of their plans. ### Can I get a prescription repeat without a consultation? Repeat prescriptions generally require a brief consultation with your GP to ensure your treatment remains appropriate and up to date. In certain circumstances, our GPs may issue a short repeat without an in-person visit. Please contact reception at least 48 hours before your prescription runs out. We do not issue prescriptions for controlled drugs or new medications without a full consultation. ### Where can I park near the clinic? On-street parking is available on and around the road outside the practice, subject to local parking restrictions. Paid multi-storey car parks are located within a short walk. We recommend allowing extra time to find parking during peak morning hours. Patients with mobility difficulties should contact reception in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you with a convenient arrival arrangement. ## Patient Reviews Rating: 4.9/5 from 320 reviews - 5/5 -- "The care and attention I receive here is exceptional.
